Team Composition

Five racers per team, per race maximum. Teams may have more than five racers on their roster, but they can only have five racers race each week. Any competitor whose team is full may still race as an individual each week at a cost of $15, but their score cannot be counted towards their team.

Snowboarders and telemarkers are welcome and receive a time discount compared to the alpine competitors. Teams may be comprised of any mix of alpine, snowboarders, telemarkers, male or female that you wish to have from week to week. As we mentioned, your weekly roster of competitors for each team can also vary from week to week.

Team Strategy

Due to the our scoring system there are a few tips we should give you so everyone has a clear understanding of how to do well this season:
1. Race with a full team of five each week. Your teams score will be hurt significantly if you do not have a full roster of five participate each race day.
2. Additional points are available each week that can add to a teams score if you have a varied roster of competitors. These additional points are given out to a few individual competitors who win their categories each week: men’s and women’s alpine, snowboard and telemark categories.
3. Plan ahead who will be racing on your team and come to registration with a clear list of who will race for you.
4. Select someone from each team who is willing to spend a little extra time doing some organizing of your team. This “team captain” can really help your team do as well as possible.
5. Be on time for registration. It opens at 9:00am and closes promptly at 10:45am.

How to Register Your Team

1. Registration takes place each race day from 9:00am to 10:45am on the second floor of “Race City”, which is the two story building located just West of the bottom of the Centennial Express Lift #6, above the ski check.
2. Prior to the first event you should pull your team together and complete the team roster form.
3. Either mail the roster and a check for $400.00 to us, or drop the form off before January 5, 2009. Team fees are $400.00 if you register and pay by January 5, 2009, or $450.00/team if you register and pay after January 5, 2009.
4. Have each member of your team stop by registration each day they will be racing. They will need to fill out a NASTAR registration card and a separate waiver form, and pay their entry fee (if the team did not pay the season fee), before they receive their bib.
5. Each member of a team must tell the registration staff which team they are racing for on a given day.
6. Competitors must designate themselves as snowboarders or telemarkers or they will be scored as an alpine competitor.

 Entry Fees

$400.00 Team Fee if registered and paid by January 5, 2009
$450.00 Team Fee if registered and paid after January 5, 2009
$15.00 per racer for Individual Competitors

Entry fees are valid for the entire season, five racers per event. No portion of any unused team fee is refundable.
