Bon Appetit Culinary & Wine Focus

January 28-30, 2010 

Beaver Creek celebrates all things culinary with Bon Appetit Magazine. The Classic features the Master Chef Challenge (similar to the Iron Chef competition) on Friday night and the ever-popular Grand Tasting on Saturday night. Also don’t miss a full lineup of tastings, seminars and cooking classes that celebrate culinary delights and offerings from Beaver Creek chefs as well as renowned guest chefs Joey Campanaro, Cat Cora, Ming Tsai, Tojo, Francois Payard and more.

MEET THE CHEFS

Allen Allegretti
Mentored by the likes of Jacques Maximin and Alain Ducasse, this Provence, France, native serves his authentic French Riviera cuisine at New York's Allegretti.  

Michael Psilakis
Influenced by the flavors of classic Greek cooking, Psilakis earned a Michelin Star for his work at Anthos-one of only two Greek restaurants in the world the hold the honor.

Joey Campanaro
One of the New York's most sought after food personalities, the chef/owner of The Little Owl has been featured on The Today Show, The Martha Stewart Show and Iron Chef America.                 

Hidekazu Tojo
One of North America's master sushi chefs, Tojo opened his signature restaurant in 1988. This acclaimed spot has been awarded "Best Japanese" for the past 20 years by Vancouver Magazine.

Cat Cora
Bon Appetit's Executive Chef, Cat Cora is also the first and only female Iron Chef. A cookbook author and national spokeswoman for UNICEF, Cora servese as president/co-founder of Chefs for Humanity.  

Laurant Trourondel
With the skill of a French-trained chef and the sensibility of a metropolitan restaurateur, Trourondel has turned out his collection of BLT restaurants into a worldwide success.

Francois Payard
Payard's passion led him from the finest kitchens in France to Le Bernardin in New York.  A third generation pastry chef, Payard owns namesake restaurants in Las Vegas, Japan and Korea.   

Ming Tsai
A Yale and Le Cordon Bleu Paris graduate, Tsai grew up cooking in his parents' restaurant. This James Beard Award and Emmy winner hosts Simply Ming and is chef/owner of Blue Ginger in Massachusetts.
